Trance Dance is a unique blend of healing sounds, dynamic percussive rhythms, transformational breathing techniques and the innovative use of a blindfold or bandana. Together they stimulate a trance state that promotes spiritual awakenings, mental clarity, physical stamina and emotional well-being. Please bring a bandana and wear loose comfortable clothing if you plan on participating. This workshop is being facilitated by Journey to the Heart Certified Trance Dance Facilitators, Deborah Garrett and Kat Naslas. Firewalking has been used in various types of ceremonies around the world, from the Native Americans to gather energy before a hunt or battle, to young girls in Bali firewalking to celebrate their coming-of-age. Firewalking is a tool for deep transformation. It has been used for physical healing, emotional healing, and/or to energize a dream, goal or vision. Come and learn how this transformative tool can help you unleash your incredible human potential!

Kat Naslas (katalysthealingarts.com)
Kat is certified both as a Sundoor Master Firewalk Instructor and Journey to the Heart Trance-Dance Facilitator. She returns to Sundoor frequently to serve as staff as well as to continue her spiritual studies with her teacher Peggy Dylan. She practices shamanic and Reiki healing. She is a graduate of Michael Harner’s Foundation for Shamanic Studies “3-year program in Advanced Shamanic Techniques and Initiations”, and is an active member of several shamanic circles and professional organizations. She volunteers her services as Firekeeper for Teepee, Vision Quest, Sweat Lodge, and other ceremonies. She has also completed Sierra Bender's Boot Camp for Goddesses, along with Sierra's Yoga for Goddess training. Having a passion for sacred travel, she has been part of shamanic ceremonies along the Inca Trail in Peru, on Lake Atitlan in Guatemala, in Glastonbury UK. Kat is a daughter of the Earth who bings her powerful rooted energy to everything she does. Her deep insight and gentle wisdom empowers others to achieve healing at the deepest levels.
Andrew Steed (www.andrewsteed.com) Andrew Steed is a Bardic Storyteller, Master Firewalk Instructor, Shamanic Practitioner, Mist Walker and Playful Soul who has been leading pilgrimages to the British Isles and Ireland since 1999. Andrew is a native of the British Isles he is currently putting the finishing touches to a book on his adventures with Nature Spirits and the Ancestors through his travels on the land and through the rich Celtic story.

Children are welcome as long as they are looked after by a parent, and can focus on the material being offered in the workshops without being a distraction. Anyone under the age of 21 must be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian to participate in the firewalk workshop.
Due to the ceremonial nature of this event, we ask that you help us keep it a drug and alcohol free. Violators will be asked to vacate the premises without refund of admission.
